How to create a small RSS reader for Win8 in HTML5 Metro in 30 minutes (part 1/2) - by David Rousset
We will see through these two tutorials how, from scratch, make a small RSS reader with HTML5, CSS3 and WinJS, the JavaScript framework for Microsoft Windows 8 Metro. We will also try to better follow the rules of Metro design by using the Expression Blend tool 5. If you do well, you should be able to play these 2 articles in 30 minutes.
This first article will let you create the home page using a type check list showing all the latest articles published blog. The second will deal with creating the detail view displayed when you click on one of the items in the list. You will find at the end two short videos down the steps you can follow by reading this article and source code solution. Think of them as a supplement might be useful to clarify some gray areas.
